The project commenced with an in-depth examination of the customer journey, involving discussions with customers to gain insights into their experiences. The research brought to light certain bottlenecks in the food ordering process, leading to skepticism among users. Through this research, key areas for enhancement were identified, encompassing order inaccuracies, challenges in tracking deliveries, incorrect estimates of delivery times, and insufficient feedback on the overall delivery process.

To tackle these issues head-on, I implemented several improvements. The order page was streamlined, featuring a detailed breakdown of orders for clarity. A delivery tracker was incorporated to address concerns about tracking food and provide more comprehensive feedback throughout the delivery process. The ordering process was refined to be less cumbersome and more inspiring, ensuring a smoother user experience. Additionally, enhancements were made to the restaurant detail page.

The overarching objective was to craft a seamless and personalized online food ordering experience, alleviating the identified pain points and instilling confidence and satisfaction among users.

The entire project was completed in 2 and a half month. This gave time for numerous tests and iterations to be conducted in order to accomplish the company 's goals and meet user needs.

Foodiy emerged from my own frustrations in attempting to juggle a demanding work/school schedule while striving to maintain a healthy eating routine. The challenges of my hectic lifestyle made it difficult to keep up with cooking and plan my meals, resulting in prolonged periods of hunger throughout the day. Although I've turned to ordering food online to address this issue, it has introduced a set of challenges that I've personally encountered.


Ordering food online, while convenient, presents a myriad of issues that can leave hungry customers feeling dissatisfied and contribute to the overall skepticism surrounding this service. One recurring frustration is the inaccuracies in the estimated delivery time provided by the food ordering app. Waiting for an unspecified amount of time while already hungry due to incorrect delivery time estimates can be exasperating. Additionally, inaccuracies in orders and a lack of adequate feedback on the stages of a delivery process only compound the impatience of hungry customers eagerly awaiting their meals.


Recognizing these challenges firsthand has fueled my passion for creating Foodiy – a solution aimed at revolutionizing the online food ordering experience by addressing these pain points and providing a more reliable and user-friendly service.
